Hello Friends,

A few days back someone told me that she doesn’t like upma because it is just boiled sooji with tadka in it 🙂 Well, she was not wrong. I used to think the same but I always liked upma. Even the upma that we get outside is just boiled suji with tadka in it.

I love upma but I just can’t have the traditional upma. That is why, to include it in our regular breakfast, I tried to include more things in it. I tried to modify the recipe, changed the ingredients, added a lot of vegetables in it and it turned out to be so amazing. Everybody in my office loved my upma recipe. So you also try this healthy, more nutritious, vegetable upma recipe and I am sure that you will also start liking it. You can enjoy it over breakfast, add any vegetable of your choice, serve it with any chutney and you are sorted for the day.

Water – 2 Cups

Cooking Oil – 2 Tbsp
Mustard Seeds – ½ Tsp
Chana Dal – ½ Tsp
Khadi Mirch – 2
Curry Leaves – a few
Roasted Peanuts – 2 Tbsp

Carrot – ½ Cup
